sure on this shining night | a recital by matthew russo

March 31, 2012 at 8pm in Yale University’s Sprague Hall

My final recital at Yale includes music that I’ve always wanted to perform or that has interested me throughout my career. Assisted again by the lovely Melody Quah and joined once more by the Yale Trombone Quartet, I hope that we can relax for an hour or so and enjoy some wonderful compositions. This concert marks the US Premiere of Paul Rudoi’s “Play in Variants” for trombone quartet. Additional programming information is below. Please come if you can.

This recital will be live streamed. Those interested should visit http://music.yale.edu/media/live and click on Sprague (or Morse) Hall. It will be both video and audio.

Play in Variants – Paul Rudoi (US Premiere)

Nessun Dorma – Giacomo Antonio Domenico Michele Secondo Maria Puccini

-Intermission-

4 songs, Op 13 – Samuel Barber
